What is therapy?

Therapy, or psychotherapy, is a treatment modality that Dr. Choulet and many of her associates utilize to help improve their clients’ mental health and well-being. During therapy, you may discuss your life stressors, mental health conditions, and how it affects your mood, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.

The psychiatrists at Choulet Wellness take an evidence-based approach to care. Dr. Choulet and her associates combine therapy with medication management to alleviate clients’ mental health symptoms, increase the response rate, and improve the likelihood of maintaining positive results.

Dr. Choulet provides concierge psychiatric care to provide the time and attention her clients need to improve their mental well-being. This approach allows Dr. Choulet to see fewer patients, which increases her availability and accessibility.

What are the types of therapy?

The psychiatrists and therapists at Choulet Wellness take an individualized approach to mental health treatment. Dr. Choulet and her associates utilize various therapies to help their clients improve emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Dr. Choulet uses mindfulness because it increases your ability to tolerate and regulate your negative thoughts and feelings.

How does therapy work?

The psychiatrists and therapists at Choulet Wellness individualize your therapy to best meet your mental health needs and goals. Choulet Wellness is a concierge psychiatric practice, allowing Dr. Choulet and her associates to be more available for their patients.

Initially, Dr. Choulet conducts a brief phone interview to discuss your needs and goals and see if her practice is a good fit for you. If her practice is a good fit, she then schedules your comprehensive 60-90 minute initial psychiatric evaluation.

After your evaluation, your psychiatrist and/or therapist works with you, designing your mental health treatment plan, which includes the therapy that best meets your needs. With concierge care, you have the option to schedule 30, 50, or 60-minute therapy sessions.

The goal of therapy is to help you gain increased insight into your problems and learn new skills for managing them in more adaptive ways.
