What can I expect from a psychiatrist?

At your first visit, the psychiatrist conducts a 60-90 minute psychiatric assessment, gathering information about your physical and mental health history, as well as your life story and current mental health concerns and symptoms.

The psychiatrist may also request labs to confirm or rule out a medical condition that may explain your symptoms.

The child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrists at Choulet Wellness collaborate one-on-one with you to create a personalized plan that focuses on your emotional well-being and overall health and wellness.

Follow-up appointments are scheduled according to your treatment plan and may include 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions. The psychiatrists at Choulet Wellness also make themselves available to you between appointments through phone or text. In addition, they also provide expedited appointment scheduling and medication refills between appointments, if appropriate.
